Kaldi was an Ethiopian goatherd who discovered the coffee plant on seeing his goats dancing while snacking on brilliant red berries of a specific hedge and decided to take a bite himself. His thrill incited him to take the berries to an Islamic priest in a close by Sufi monastery (zawiyah), but the Sufi objected to their utilization and threw them into a fire. As the alluring smell urged, they were taken out, ground up and added into a cup of steaming hot water. This beautiful Iconic Kaldi pendant is perfect for coffee lovers.
